      Verdict

      Mandoob made a winning debut on the all-weather at Lingfield and is penalised along with Twilight Twist, who has been gelded since winning at Wolverhampton in November and steps up from a mile. Manassas also returns to action but Moliwood and Princess Nadia both placed over 1m2f recently with preference for the latter. MELLOW MAGIC has been thereabouts in all three outings so far and having finished second at Newmarket last time, may finally come good with Ryan Moore taking over the reins.

      Mellow Magic 5-6fav (9-0) Tracked leader, switched to centre 7f out and led this group, led overall over 3f out, ridden and headed approaching final furlong, kept on one pace, 2nd of 8, 2 1/2l behind Sayyida (9-0) at Newmarket 1m 4f fll stks (4) gd in May.
