    Verdict

Claymore looks to have been found an easy opportunity to supplement earlier wins at Uttoxeter and Chepstow and is difficult to oppose. Although firmly put in his place by Martin Pipe's It Takes Time over course and distance on his most recent start, there is nothing of that calibre in the field today and the son of Broadsword is taken to winning ways. Mark Bradstock's Go White Lightning looks the main danger judged on a respectable second to Another General at Doncaster but a disappointing effort since then tempers enthusiasm and a bigger threat may be Sue Smith's Diceman, who is entitled to improve for his debut outing. Captain Jake , who has been off the track for a long time, and the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Full Minty make limited appeal.
