    Verdict

MININGROCKS (NAP) is the obvious choice given he landed a hat-trick with victory in an apprentices’ race at Nottingham last week and escapes a penalty. Stablemate Twistsandturns looks high enough in the weights as he debuts for Declan Carroll’s yard while Arithmetic was runner-up at Leicester recently but has yet to win in 15 attempts. Sakurajima looks a bigger threat as he wasn’t beaten very far when only fifth at Newbury and can race off the same mark today.
