In depth

Verdict

Baronovici gets the call here ahead of Bahamian Lad and Solar Spirit. Baronovici showed plenty of promise when narrowly beaten on his Windsor debut and, with a pedigree that suggests he should be capable of handling soft going, he looks to hold leading claims today. There is not much to go on with many of the others but, being a 34,000 guineas son of Bahamian Bounty, Bahamian Lad gets a solid mention, as does Feeling Fresh, who was not beaten far when seventh on his course debut and he might be okay on the going, along with Solar Spirit, whose breeding catches the eye. The latter is a stablemate of Tarkheena Prince, although he has more of an American pedigree. Finally, In Honour, Fox's Deb and Carry On Cleo have all shown some promise to date and might show up well but, for the selection, we will stcik with Baronovici.
