Verdict

MR COCO BEAN is more exposed than most but has been a good servant since moving to the Barron yard and still looks on a feasible handicap mark. Hold-up tactics are highly likely to be deployed once again and the Haydock straight should provide Pat Dobbs with ample time to organise the Gio Ponti gelding for a trademark late challenge. Pioneering hasn't won since 2017 but is down to a mark of 67 - he was in the 80s last summer - and is well worth keeping an eye on here on just a third start for Roger Fell. Glorious Dane should appreciate returning to the Flat after an abortive run over timber latest, with Little India is another to note after a good effort last time.
