      Verdict

BERTOG gained an overdue victory at Doncaster last week and is still well treated on his old form, despite the penalty. It would be no surprise to see him complete the double. Zip’s handicap mark never seems to vary and he’ll enjoy conditions more than most. His latest fourth at Thirsk was another decent effort and he shouldn't be far away again so is preferred to stablemate Gabrial The Tiger. Another former Fahey inmate, Private Matter, probably has place claims but races mainly on the all-weather nowadays. Tranchee and Reckless Endeavour also have a squeak.
