Verdict

Cake It Easy is going the right way, and is fancied to land a double here on ground she likes; Geri Roulette and Gargoyle Girl look the pick of the remainder. Geri Roulette has been a model of consistency this season and scored her second success of the season when making all of the running for a convincing victory at Hamilton. However, she is now nine pounds higher in the weights and her best form has come over a further trip than this, so she is just worth opposing. Gargoyle Girl put in her best effort of the season when second in first time cheekpieces at Musselburgh recently and Kieren Fallon has been booked so Jim Goldie's mare has to be respected, although surprisingly the cheekpieces have been left off this time. Rani Two comes here on a hat trick but has never won over this far, while Clarisse, Pershaan and Grand Lass are three southern raiders who have to be respected, but Cake It Easy looks the one they all have to beat here. Mark Johnston's filly made all of the running to win her maiden in good style over course and distance last time out, she loves this ground and appears to have been let in rather lightly on a mark of just 75 for her handicap debut.
