In depth

Verdict

A select field and all are respected. After finishing last on successive starts, Home Before Dusk bounced back in style and now chases the hat-trick. He remains well treated and will be dangerous if maintaining his recent improvement. Jump The Gun, a course and distance winner, may need a career-best at this level but Chichester has every chance on the best of this season's efforts and gives his doubly-represented handler a strong hand. Marie's Diamond is admirably tough and genuine but if ARTISTIC RIFLES can return from a break in the form which saw him land the Spring Mile at Doncaster and a useful Ripon handicap, then he could be the one to beat.
