In depth

Verdict

Ettrick Water has shown a consistent level of form in the context of this race and gets the TEAMtalk vote to finally lose her maiden certificate. Luca Cumani's filly looked most unlucky last time when meeting trouble in running before staying on strongly to finish second in a similar heat over a mile and the extra furlong looks sure to be to her advantage. Fresh As A Rose has every chance on the book but may be best watched following a four-month absence. The Hunter is a lightly raced type who will be sharper for his belated return and looks capable of further progress so rates a danger.
