In depth

Verdict

Beaucette has been knocking at the door and can come good at the expense of Shardda and Helderberg. Sir Michael Stoute's filly was denied by a photo at Folkestone after a number of good efforts against moderate company. She is not one of the leading lights at Freemason Lodge but should be more than good enough to score. Shardda made her debut in a decent maiden at Salisbury but failed to step up on that at Hamilton and probably does not have much scope. Even so, she makes more appeal than the others, such as Helderberg who has not beaten a horse home in either of his last two starts. Connections will be disappointed if Beaucette cannot beat this lot.
