    Verdict

Birkenhead, a winner at Beverley in April, has been narrowly beaten in all three subsequent starts. He's likely to set a strong gallop here as Probable Cause, who led on the post at Wolverhampton, couldn't hold on when attempting a double on fast ground at Lingfield so may be ridden with more restraint. Dandizette has also been showing good pace and ran well in a better race than this at Newcastle but HIDDEN SPELL looks the one to beat. She started favourite for her debut over 6f at Pontefract but couldn't quite hold on after leading at the furlong pole.
