Verdict

Plenty of chances but DESERT QUEST still looks to inhabit a decent mark for connections to work with. He's shown much better form since stepped up significantly in trip and now actually drops back to 1m4f for the first time scoring the last day over a quarter of a mile further, so expect a positive ride from Cam Hardie on this improving 3-y-o. Mistamel went close on debut for Ian Jardine late last month and a repeat performance puts him into contention alongside the likes of Peerless Percy and Amourie. However, Muroor also ran a promising race on his first run for the Davidson yard recently, may improve again in first-time cheekpieces and looks the main threat.
