Cottingham is taken to maintain his winning run and get the better of Ulysees and Hansomelle. Hansomelle has shown little form recently until chasing home Topflight Wildbird over the course and distance last time. She followed the winner at a respectful distance but that was an improved effort and she can go well. Ulysees is another to consider. A winner at Musselburgh and over the mile course here, he has run decent races in defeat since, and with this race not as competitive as some, his chance is reasonable. Cottingham has won three of his last five and was second on the other two occasions. Two of his victories came over a furlong further at Yarmouth so there should be no stamina problems. The handicapper has only raised him to a four pound higher mark than his latest success at Wolverhampton and he can maintain his winning run. Cottingham can make it four wins out of six.
