Verdict

The fact that DOWER GLEN has yet to win in 26 starts but could start favourite today tells you all you need to know about the ability on show. Keith Dalgleish's charge finished runner-up over 5f here a week ago and gets a tentative vote to go one better. Neytiri had Royal Blade, William Wainwright and Chardonnay Star behind when fourth in a Redcar seller last month and Needy McCredie has a chance on last year's best form, but Elusive Fame is much better on the all-weather and was a tailed-off last of five at Musselburgh on his penultimate start.
