Verdict

The unexposed Windy Britain is given the narrow verdict ahead of Archie Babe and Dr Sharp. Luca Cumani's runner has been expertly placed during this season and looks to have learnt how to settle in her races after a couple of disappointing runs on the all-weather during the winter. Although she is yet to race in such a small field, it is very difficult to get away from the claims of this daughter of Mark of Esteem. Archie Babe reportedly did not handle the fibresand at Southwell on Monday and that run is best ignored. He possesses clear ability but it is worrying that his best form tends to occur when there are bigger fields in opposition. Dr Sharp posted a 25/1 shock to floor odds-on backers at Ripon last time out. The ground will certainly not be on the soft side tonight but there have been one or too hints of ability on this surface in the past. Golden Boot would have chances on his better form but he was well behind Archie Babe when they met at Pontefract. Millennium Hall has shown little to write home about this term.
