Verdict

ARMED RESPONSE made all for a very comfortable victory over the course and distance last month and will be difficult to catch, despite a 6lb penalty. Up Sticks And Go attempted to make most at Ayr but couldn't contain French Flyer, though that should have brought him on a bundle. Austin Powers showed up well for a long way before fading at Leicester and his stable also run the filly Poetic Steps, who will probably be suited by further in time. Tanaya chased the eventual winner at Carlisle but couldn't find any extra and will need to do better.
