      Verdict

The vote here goes to Queen's Echo ahead of Double Ransom, Champain Sands and Qualitair Wings. There was plenty to like about the way that the selection won at Leicester last time, which looked an improved effort. Now she has the taste of a win in her mouth, she ought to go well as she bids to defy a six-pound penalty. Double Ransom's pleas have been listened to by the handicapper and he now finds himself on a mark from which he can win. We expect him to go well. Mercari comes here in good form, although her recent win came in a seller and this is tougher. Champain Sands returned to form at Carlisle last time and, based on his form of a year ago, remains well-weighted. Sting Like A Bee is still four pounds above a winning mark, while Bijou Dan's Catterick run in early May would give him a chance, but his form around that run is not the best. Violet Avenue still has it to prove off her new mark, while Commitment Lecture's runner-up spots in his last two races, including over course and distance, have been good efforts, although he has been raised again for the latest of them. The percentage call is to oppose Mezuzah in handicaps, but Qualitair Wings is only two pounds above the mark from which he won here over a mile on May 13, and he holds place claims. However, for the winner, we will stick with Queen's Echo.
