Verdict

A wide open handicap here and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Beauteous, Double Ransom, Spindor, Mehmaas and Speedfit Free and the tentative vote goes to Beauteous. The selection has been in the form of his life of late and won well last time out when defeating Baytown Flyer that form looks rock solid and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Double Ransom rates the main danger he was a good second behind Pure Mischief last time and the drop in trip is sure to suit. Spindor was a one paced third behind My Bayard last time over seven furlongs so is sure to be suited by the step up in trip. Mehmaas was well beaten in a seller on the AW on his last run but he returns to turf on a fair mark and could run well at a price. Of the remainder Speedfit Free will appreciate the step back up to a mile having been outpaced over five furlongs last time but for the winner we return to Beauteous.
