Verdict

AUDEMAR can gain compensation at the expense of Hawk's Eye and Wunder Strike. Ed Vaughan's charge was presumably easy to back in the market on introduction as his pedigree is very much in line with longer distances. That said, he made Cheviot pull out all the stops on introduction and that rival has gone on to put together a couple of fair efforts in nurseries. Hawk's Eye stayed on well to be fourth to Flintlock at Windsor. He will be of interest once campaigned in nurseries. Wunder Strike has been outpointed on two starts and should find a step up in distance as a positive. Dynamo Dane was anything but on debut. Captain Carnival is a close relation to useful miler, Inglenook. The presence of Jamie Spencer indicates that Audemar is fancied and we seek not to oppose.
