Verdict

Of the seven runners here, only four have raced before and they've got the grand total of nine runs between them, so a market check is essential, but in the absence of much form we'll speculatively put up one of the debutants in OPEN SESAME, ahead of Solo Choice and Dante Deo. Peter Chapple-Hyam knows the time of day when it comes to turning out first time winners, and his runner here is his only one on the card. He could be anything, but we'd be prepared to take a chance, especially if there's any money for him in the ring. Solo Choice steps up in trip after a couple of runs at Southwell, in which he was slowly away on both occasions, so a couple of extra furlongs may iron out that problem. Dante Deo has also had a couple of runs on the fibre sand and was also placed second time out, and but for encountering some trouble in running could have broken her maiden then. It's not a lump on type of contest and any support should be taken into calculations, but tentatively we'll put up Open Sesame.
