Verdict

MALL DINI (NAP), last year's Pertemps Final winner, has taken on some smart performers since switching to fences and hasn't been beaten far. This will be his first start over the minimum trip and he can get off the mark. Dicosimo had problems with his jumping over hurdles and was well beaten on his chasing debut at Limerick last month but he ran better than his finishing position suggests and is expected to get closer. Willie Mullins also runs Great Field, three times a winner over hurdles in France before making a successful debut for the yard at Leopardstown in February. He pulled too hard when favourite for the County Hurdle at Cheltenham and he could prove to be very useful over fences. Winning point-to-pointer and bumper General Principle didn't do as well as expected over hurdles but has performed with credit in all three starts over fences and dropping back in trip could bring out the best in him. Double Island is the type to improve and is another to note in what should prove an informative contest.
