In depth

Verdict

KASTASA completed her hat-trick in a lucrative handicap at Leopardstown then turned a 2m Group 3 at the Curragh in September into a procession. She has several Group entries including the Irish St Leger and this looks a good starting point. Heliac has now won four of her last five and though she's never raced over a trip this far she stayed on strongly to land a 1m4f Leopardstown Listed contest last time. Traisha had some smart form in handicaps in France and made a successful start for Joseph O'Brien when carrying a big weight over 1m3f at Killarney. Stable companion Mighty Blue, another French import, was just a length behind having earlier finished just over 3 lengths behind Heliac at Leopardstown. Mother Vincent ended the last campaign with a hat-trick of handicap victories though the furthest was over 1m2f.
