SHIELD has been alternating between Dundalk and hurdling and scored on the Polytrack in January. He's probably been a bit unfortunate not to have scored over timber with his close second to subsequent Grade 3 winner Katie T at Naas a fine effort and he can put matters right. With Robert Tyner still firing in the winners, recent Dromahane points winner Mount Brandon is one to keep an eye on but The Mystro could provide the main threat as he hasn't been beaten far behind useful winners on his two starts over hurdles. Lake Nova couldn't manage a victory on the Flat for Aidan O'Brien but went close on a couple of occasions and is one to keep an eye on.
