In depth

Verdict

Feenakilmeedy has now failed to finish in five of her six starts since scoring over hurdles at Limerick a year ago. The last four have been over fences and she stopped very quickly at Thurles last time. Kindly Vinnie fell on her chasing bow at Thurles last month but ran very well in two starts over timber in-between so has to be respected. Ivy Glen has failed to finish in three of her seven starts over the bigger obstacles though she did jump better at Clonmel last time. Diamond Dame completed a double in minor handicaps over timber in the autumn before well beaten at Cheltenham. Ellaway Rose has never won a race in 27 starts though only four have been over fences. Her pedigree suggests she should do better at this game though she may have to give best to SHUILAMACH, Paul Nolan's mare beat Kindly Vinnie over timber at Cork in January and was well supported for her debut over fences at Thurles last month and was still in contention when falling on the second circuit.
