Viking Splash jumped superbly from the front when making all in this last year and looks certain to force the pace again. But he hasn't quite been at his best lately unlike several of his rivals including Outlaw Pete, a very easy winner at Rathcannon last month and always difficult to beat in this sort of grade. Agus A Vic had his first run at this level for some time when runner-up to Zardsky at Fairyhouse but a line through the winner gives him a couple of lengths to find with MOUNTAIN LOUGH. The latter won a couple of point-to-points before an excellent run over 2m4f at Clonmel behind Boxer Georg where Zardsky was just half-a-length in front. He hasn't had too much racing and can improve enough to take this.
