Verdict

PURPLE LAND has been disappointing and looks vulnerable but the lack of realistic oppositions should ensure he loses his maiden tag as his last run when three lengths behind Brazilian Beauty at Limerick is easily the best form on view. Yes Missus was last of five on her debut at Tipperary and Tomatin has a long absence to overcome but did run well on her debut at Wolverhampton last October. The selection's stablemate Saoi is a nicely-bred colt who will stay further than this in time but a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of David Wachman's newcomer Gonebeyondthemoon, a son of Danehill Dancer.
