Father Jed and ASK DAVID fought out a finish over this trip on good ground at Fairyhouse where the former gained a surprise victory. He's since proved that to be no fluke with a fine second on a return visit but the latter has done even better, landing a Punchestown handicap in impressive style. He has an 8lb rise to overcome but still looks ahead of the assessor and can complete a double. The veteran Soul Season hasn't run for a year but was in cracking form in 2017 and hasn't had much racing for his age. Dark Decade wasn't beaten far on his handicap debut at Naas while Rachael Blackmore's mount Niccolai makes her handicap debut though hasn't shown much. Encore Lui is also having his first start in a handicap and is one to keep an eye on in the market.
