SUCCEED AND EXCEL (NAP) attracted good support at Tipperary on Thursday after a better run at Naas previously. He was starting to make ground when hampered and, still on a very lowly mark, can gain compensation. Longfield Lad couldn't quite get past Tahaf at Killarney and has a chance on that form but he's never won in 17 starts on Turf, though he holds Athassel on that last run. Red Laser is running well but hasn't won since completing a double over a mile here in May of last year. Furacano has the form for this at her best but is still a maiden after 23 starts.
