Verdict

Very little chasing form to go on here but the debut over fences of LIEUTENANT COLONEL has been eagerly anticipated. Formerly with the Hughes family, for who he won two Grade 1s over hurdles in 2014, he's joined Gordon Elliott who will be keen to get him off to a winning start. Jimmy Two Times has won three times over timber and was in very good form when last seen in the spring. He's from a very smart chasing family so should be winning soon. Mydor, who has also won three times over timber, had three starts over fences last season which should stand him in good stead this campaign while Just Cause had some decent form between the flags and over hurdles and is another likely to do better over the bigger obstacles.
