Verdict

The manner of Parnassian's Doncaster win marks him out as the one to be on here, with Ringsider and Baker Of Oz others to consider. Toby Balding's charge hit form at the beginning of the month when taking a Class E handicap at Haydock before defying a rise to score by five lengths with cut in the ground at Doncaster last time. The fast ground and easier track here should help him get the extra furlong and he can complete the hat-trick. Ringsider receives a handy 3lb from the selection and ran on well at the end of a mile to be second to Pango here the other day. The extra furlong would appear to his benefit and we anticipate another bold showing. Of the others, Wind Chime could trouble them all at his best, but he looks handicapped to the hilt, while Baker Of Oz ran well in defeat to Pango at Warwick last month, and if he has improved any then he can also take a hand here. But for the selection we are happy to side with Parnassian.
