Verdict

Party Royal beat Berkeley Vale by only a head in one of these events at Salisbury last month and that pair are hard to separate under the same riders. Unison and Grey Gem are partnered by leading amateurs while Ross Birkett teamed up with Automotive to win this in 2013 but the latter is 6lb higher today. LU'S BUDDY won at Newmarket earlier and, dropping down a grade after a fifth at Sandown, Amanda Perrett's charge gets a speculative vote ahead of last month's Newbury winner Dark Amber.
