It's less than a year since High Standing was finishing third in a Group 1 at Deauville and Willie Haggas' six-year-old, who returned to winning ways when beating Atlantic Sport over this trip at Haydock last time, may well prove the pick of those drawn high. Dandy Nicholls trained Evens And Odds to win this last year and it would be no surprise to see any of his six entries this season in the firing-line with Victoire De Lyphar arguably the most interesting of the sextet. Hoof It is much improved this year but this looks a stiff task under top weight while stablemate Ancient Cross is 6lb higher than when scoring at Newcastle. Mon Cadeaux ran well when second in a Listed contest at Chester, however, and looks well handicapped while Secret Asset won a shade cosily over 5f here earlier in the week.
