Verdict

Three-year-olds have won six of the last eight with three of those starting at odds-on. The classic generation can dominate again with THIKRIYAAT preferred to Zonderland. Sir Michael Stoute's charge has only one defeat on his CV and that was behind subsequent Group 1 winner Ribchester in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot. He's moving through the ranks but Frankie's mount is sure to make a race of it having won a couple of Group 3 races since finishing sixth in the 2000 Guineas. Toormore has a penalty but looks the pick of the older horses as he'll appreciate this slight drop in class. Neither Lightning Spear nor Arod have progressed from promising comebacks and look held by the selection on collateral form.
