In depth

Verdict

Essentially a cracker and the nominal vote is given to HEART OF HEARTS over Domination and Zahoo. Henry Cecil's filly ran with credit at Ascot behind Yashrid and connections feel that softer ground will suit this daughter of Oasis Dream. Abergavenny lost on the bob at Bath and is respected off the same mark, whilst the drop in grade and step up in trip will suit the Hamilton winner Oriental Cat who has been off since finishing well-held behind Monterosso in May. Domination is consistent and on a form line through Yashrid has the beating of the selection but he needs to bounce back from a below-par run behind Comedy Act at Haydock although the shorter trip will be in his favour this evening. Similar comments apply to Mecox Bay, whilst the returning Zahoo, who has been off since a Salisbury flop in May, and the in-form Kathleen Frances help make this one of the most interesting races of the day.
