In depth

Formwatch

Pawn Broker The pick on form but his resolution has been questioned and blinkers are applied for the first time today; meets Mubtaker on the same terms as when beating finishing three lengths ahead of him at Kempton on April16 (10f,soft); can't be ruled out

Blue Gold One of only two course winners in the field, is consistent and goes on the ground; probably best at 12f and lacks a recent run but certainly has scope to improve this year.

Gold Academy (IRE) Has been running pretty well in decent company in most recent runs and, given he goes on the ground, must be considered.

Mubtaker (USA) Lightly-raced 4-year-old whose only win came on heavy; that said, he's entitled to be improving and a good show should not come as a surprise.

Nooshman (USA) Has wintered in Dubai, where he had a couple of runs; he was unlucky in running on his last two British starts so it is difficult to gauge how good he might be; he's a course and distance winner, will have his supporters today but the caveat is that this represents a step up in class.
