In depth

Verdict

Waterside gets the call here ahead of Boundless Prospect and Full Victory. Boundless Prospect won so well at Yarmouth last time that a six-pound penalty does not rule him out of calculations today. Seven-furlong course winner, Waterside, comes here in fine form, is well-weighted based on all-weather form and ran a cracker at Sandown last time in a competitive affair. He is very much respected. Dry Ice still has it to prove from a winning point of view from his current rating. Full Victory is on a roll and comes here seeking a third-straight win although a five-pounds rise in the ratings for the latest of them will test him. Farewell Gift holds claims based on 2004 form but has seemed better of late on the al-weather, while Capricho is also not as good as he once was. Finally, a Group 3 winner as a juvenile, Diktatorial has something to prove at present which, in turn, returns is to the selection, which is Waterside.
