Odds-on favourites have won the last three renewals but this looks more competitive. Ayrad posted his best effort of last year in a Listed race over today's trip and should have the beating of Don't Stare and Cinnilla on these terms. But three former Irish horses are of more interest with Dabadiyan returning to the Flat after a couple of recent spins over hurdles for new connections and Eye of The Storm having his first start for Amanda Perrett. The latter won a Group 3 at Leopardstown for Ballydoyle in August and ex-stablemate FELIX MENDELSSOHN (NAP) won a maiden race at Navan in October. Third in a Listed race at Ascot on his debut for David Simcock, he beat Rawaki on that occasion and there should be plenty more to come from him this year.
