In depth

Formwatch

Point of Dispute Well drawn and has trip and ground to suit, but yard has been very quiet recently.

Marsad (IRE) Raised 5lb for Newmarket win last time; has chances but faster ground a worry today.

Roo Has the best of the draw and although has form on a fast surface is better on softer ground.

James Stark (IRE) Better form on a softer surface and badly drawn; easily discounted.

Alpen Wolf (IRE) Has ground conditions to suit but stable is not in the best of form at present.

Mersey Mirage No encouragement on form shown this term (held by Marsad on latest effort) but stable's horses have improved with racing; encounters favoured fast ground for the first time this term today.

Blackheath (IRE) Ran an eye-catching race at Lingfield last time over 5f; solid claims raised just 4lb for that.

Brave Edge Consistent handicapper but generally needs a couple of runs to put himself straight.

Seven No Trumps Landed a gamble in decisive fashion at Doncaster on most recent start; solid claims if in the same mood here off 7lb higher mark although draw a worry.

Dunedin Rascal Ran well from 6lb wrong at Chester last time (making best use of low draw); races off same mark here but with another favourable draw and fast ground to suit should go close over furlong extra.

Zuhair Claims on form especially with trip and ground to suit; number one stall a major disadvantage.

Budelli (IRE) Claims if progressing for recent Hamilton 3rd; bad draw a worry though.

Ivory Dawn Held by Dunedin Rascal and difficult to fancy (especially from low draw).

Cedar Rangers (USA) Looks plenty high enough in the weights judged by reappearance effort.

Full Spate Trainer's sprinters never to be lightly dismissed; comes here in reasonable form and is well drawn, but does not win very often.
