In depth

Verdict

A wide open affair here and Blue Charm is the tentative choice in a contest where a case can be made for a number of the contenders. The easier 7f are likely to play to the selections strengths, unlike last time where he was prominent for much of the journey before the stiff nature of the course possibly did take its toll. Rydal Mount and Councellor are other contenders for honours, the first named been collared in the dying strides at Windsor last time, however, whose best form is on easy surfaces. Councellor hails from a yard who fail to receive the credit they deserve for being a shrewd operation. Racing here off a much lower rating than which he has acquired on the all-weather, that said though, he does not appear as affective on the turf. Mason Ette is another likely to be suited by the additional furlong but Blue Charm gets the vote.
