Verdict

Red Crepe is bred in the purple and could be interesting on her debut but preference is for Racing Night, who gets the verdict over the frustrating Kawagino. The last mentioned has become expensive to follow and, although running his usual game race when fourth to Bi Polar at Kempton last month, Nerys Dutfield's gelding again flattered to deceive. Amanda Perrett's Red Crepe makes plenty of appeal on breeding being by Polish Precedent out of an A P Indy mare. She would not need to be out of the ordinary to figure here but Racing Night showed enough on his Ripon debut to suggest that a contest of this nature would be well within his compass. The son of Lear Fan was a little unruly in the stalls beforehand but did little wrong in the race, finishing a length-and-a-half fourth behind Always Esteemed. Market Hill has shown signs of ability in his two starts so far and may run into a place.
