In depth

Verdict

The 11-year-old Pettochside bids for a fifth course victory and was second at Lingfield nine days ago, though would have preferred an easier surface. A similar remark applies to Quench Dolly while Treacherous and Desert Land are still seeking a first victory on Turf. Lapidary won her only previous start on the surface but THE LAMPLIGHTER (NAP) makes more appeal with Oisin Murphy doing the steering. He won over track and trip in August and was second later at Bath off today’s mark.
