In depth

Verdict

Henry Cecil does not have many runners in claimers and his representative here Kabis Booie, is taken to make the most of the weight that he receives from St Barchan and Soviet Sceptre who rate the biggest threats. The selection is well treated judged by official BHB ratings and has given every indication that the extra step up in trip would suit. Soviet Sceptre had to drop into plating class to finally open his account and this does not look much better so he has to be respected. Zuma faces no easy task giving weight away all round and of more interest may be recent Nottingham winner Fizzy Lady, who receives plenty of weight from her rivals. The William Jarvis-trained St Barchan is less exposed than most and should, on pedigree at least, appreciate the step up in trip. However, in receipt of 8lbs from the last mentioned it is the fresh Kabis Booie that gets the vote.
