Verdict

Army of Angels was not overly impressive when making a winning return to the UK following a winter break in Dubai but Godolphin's gelding should come on for the run and gets the vote to follow up here with the main dangers looking to be Nayyir and Supersonic Dave. The last mentioned made an encouraging return in a Listed race at Newmarket last month and should come on for that outing but trainer Brian Meehan has been struggling to find winners of late so he may be best watched. Vanderlin has every chance judged by official BHB ratings but Andrew Balding's gelding was well held on his return and may need another run to put him spot on. Dunelight stepped upon his reappearance run at Ascot last month and would have claims if improving again, although more solid claims are held by the ever capable nine-year-old Nayyir. Army of Angels may be too classy for his rivals though and he is taken to win again.
