In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins is having a superb Festival and QUEEN DEIRDRE looks to have been found a winning opportunity despite the big field. She's a close relative of the very useful bumper/hurdler Identity Thief and can make a successful start. Appy Days was unfancied on her debut at Roscommon but did very well to get close to Pursecco and can only improve. She hold's Joy's Gift on that form while Angelic Symphony was in touch for most of the way over a longer trip at Downpatrick. Bridge Native was beaten a long way into second at Ballinrobe and will need more here but Lakemilan, who had shown potential between the flags, made a bright start in a Killarney bumper and looks certain to make progress.
