Verdict

Willie Mullins has six entries, Gordon Elliott five and Joseph O'Brien three. Paul Townend chooses ROYAL RENDEZVOUS of the Mullins' battalions and the Naas Grade 3 winner looks on an attractive mark for his handicap debut. Easy Game has Patrick on board and his mount was narrowly beaten by Faugheen in the Grade 1 Flogas at Leopardstown before falling in the RSA at Cheltenham. Elliott has won this three times in the past four years and his best hope probably lies with Galvin, runner-up to Imperial Aura in a Cheltenham Listed contest before reappearing with a simple task at Killarney after which he was earmarked for this. Us And Them, a close second to Ornua in the Grade 1 Maghul at Aintree last year, didn't really enhance that form until a fine run in the Grand Annual and looks best of the O'Brien contingent. Peregrine Run, fourth a year ago, has continued his sparkling form and has every chance of gaining his 18th career success while Spyglass Hill loved the testing ground at Gowran so further rain would boost his prospects.
