Verdict

The once very useful and versatile Fisher Bridge bounced right back to form with an impressive display at Down Royal where he won hard held. He's in the Plate later in the week and a big run here is anticipated. Muirhead and Loosen My Load don't appear as good as they once were but Nearest The Pin has been running over hurdles and reverting to the bigger obstacles looks a good option. Pride Of The Artic won this in 2012 but hasn't had much racing subsequently. He paid the price for too many errors at Ballinrobe but would have to be considered at his best. Cailin Annamh has been looking a smart prospect though he was just feeling the pinch when brought down at Killarney in the race where DOMINATION finished runner-up. Charles Byrnes' charge, the winner of the Ascot Stakes last month, was having only his third start over fences that day and the experience can enable him to take this.
