Having won four of his last six outings on the Flat and gone from a mark of 50 to 81, Fennor Cross is a very interesting hurdling debutant for John McConnell. HUBRISKO looked a staying prospect in a strong maiden over the track and trip in July, running on nicely in the soft conditions. He'll need further in time but the forecast rain will be to his advantage. Winning bumper John Cannon has also produced his best form on soft ground while another bumper winner, Royal Romeo, has run well enough over timber to be given a chance. Bynx, a maiden on the Flat, has done much better over timber and her allowance can see her in contention along with dual bumper winner The Last Mardi, who would have gone close at Killarney but for a couple of mistakes.
