Verdict

Lareena is the youngest in the line-up and has more scope than most. She's never been further than 2m3f but wouldn't be running here if there were stamina doubts though she was engaged to run in the 4.45 yesterday, as was The Mulcare Rover. Smitty Bacall had been gradually improving before landing a 2m4f Gowran maiden where he stayed on strongly to lead close home. Lizzies Champ was beaten a neck over this trip at Roscommon and ran very well over shorter at Killarney so he has to be respected but the vote goes to DONT KICK NOR BITE, who completed a double the last time he ran over hurdles last summer and has been chasing. The White Volcano was having only his fifth start over hurdles and was tackling this trip for the first time when scoring easily at Down Royal and is shortlist material.
