Verdict

Expensive Taste, a winner here on Monday, finished well behind third placed Port Merrion over a mile here on Friday night. Cairduill looked as though he needed further than this when scoring over a mile here during the week but should still be considered under a penalty. Togoville was having only his tenth start when landing a Roscommon handicap though the assessor had his revenge with a 10lb rise. Three-year-olds have a superb record and it's one of the younger brigade, LE CHEILE, who gets the vote. She's yet to win but hasn't been beaten far in her last three starts and the track, trip and ground are all in her favour, as is the booking of Kevin Manning.
