Mercers Court is penalised after winning in a lesser grade at Worcester but still isn’t badly treated. However, it may be worth opposing Leg Lock Luke as he’s gone up 9lb for winning at Ffos Las and doesn’t always go through with his effort. Desert Retreat was placed four times over hurdles and should be capable of better over fences having already won a point-to-point. Kings Temptation won at Huntingdon in May and was still close up when falling at that track later in a race in which The Wicket Chicken finished second. MOORLANDS GEORGE goes well fresh so an absence since April is not a concern. He’s also had wind surgery in the interim and can be competitive off today’s mark.
